People are born with the instinct to survive, however stressful experiences can mislead us and create confusion in our nervous system. Our negative beliefs, emotional pain and physical disturbance can persist long after the event occurred.
This dysregulation can present itself in many different ways, such as panic attacks, social anxiety, PTSD, low self-worth, chronic daydreaming, interpersonal stress, relationship difficulties and so on.
My professional work is to support my clients with the repair of these wounds. I integrate cognitive, body and emotion based processing through the combination of psychodynamic therapy and EMDR techniques.
